Mallorquin Tomato Seeds
Info: The tomato `Mallorquin` comes from the Spanish island of Majorca and is a long-life variety, which is also in Central Europe suitable for outdoor cultivation. The round to slightly flattened, bright red fruits have an excellent delicious tomato flavour with a light acidity. They are suitable as salad tomato as well as for cooking and pasta sauces. Stores well.
Care: You can grow tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. Cover the seeds only slightly with soil (max. 5 mm). The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
