Roma Excellent Tomato Seeds
Info: The Roma Excellent tomato is a long plum tomato with a good, balanced flavour. The fruits are burst-resistant, weigh approx. 50 - 70g and are excellent as salad tomatoes, but are also - as is typical for the Roma varieties - good for making tomato sauces and for boiling down. As the plants remain relatively small, they are suitable for growing in pots on the balcony, terrace or in a small garden.
Care: You can grow the Roma Excellent tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
