Jersey Devil Tomato Seeds
Information: Tomato `Jersey Devil` produces pendulant, pointed, elongated fruits which are slow to set on but yield very heavily. Fruits are 10 to 15 cm long, ruby-red, very meaty and have but few seeds. Their flavour is incredible flavourful and sweet. This paste-type heirloom is excellent used in salsas and sauces, but is also yummy fresh in a salad.
Care: You can grow tomatoes at home, in a greenhouse or outside. Cover seeds only slightly with soil. Optimum germinating temperature is between 20°C and 25°C, germination takes place after 5-15 days. You can accelerate germination by priming them overnight in a damp cloth. The young plant should not be planted outside until after the last frost.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised permeable soil, which is kept damp (but not wet!). They should be placed in a sunny, sheltered place with at least 6 hours of sunlight per day, if not more.
