Runner bean Slenderette Seeds
Info: The runner bean Slenderette is a fine, very robust fillet bean and is an indispensable part of Italian cuisine. The buttery pods of this variety are 13 cm long and have a wonderful, aromatic taste. They are ideal as vegetable garnish, bean salad or in soups and stews. Freezing is also easily possible with this variety.
Sowing & cultivation: The sowing should be about 3 cm deep. Press seeds and cover with soil. For row sowing the distance shoould be 40 cm with a grain spacing of 6 - 8 cm. When sown as a pit sowing, the distances are 30cm at 5-7 seeds per planting site. Sow the beans in humus-rich, well-drained garden soil in a warm, sheltered, sunny to partially shaded place with even moisture. If necessary, separate. The stability of the plants is improved by sowing in clumps.
