Kohl Rabi Delicacy White Seeds
Info: Kohl Rabi `Delicacy White` produces pale green globe shaped roots with a crisp white flesh and an excellent flavour. It is low growing, reaching about 30cm in height and matures quickly, progressing from sowing to harvesting in a couple of months. Good for fresh consumption or as steamed vegetables or for freezing.
Sowing & cutivation: Sow outdoors between March to the end of June. For a late autumn or winter crop sow in August. Sowing depth: 1 cm, in rows 30cm apart. Kohl Rabi likes partial-shade, in firm, fertile, free-draining soil. Kohl Rabi grows best during cool weather and matures quickly, progressing from sowing to harvesting in a couple of months. They are not quite hardy enough to be classified as a winter vegetable, but they do withstand frost if there is snow or a cover.
