Organic NuMex Suave Red Chili Seeds

Info: The NuMex Suave Red is a breed from the New Mexico State University (NuMex) and is a Habanero variety with the typical extraordinary fruity flavour, but without the biting spiciness. ("Suave" in Spanish means "mild"). A real delicacy for all those who love the Habanero flavour but either don`t want or can`t tolerate the spiciness.

The plants can grow very large (up to 120 cm) and like all Habanero varieties require a lot of sunlight and warmth and have a long ripening period. The shiny red, flavourful fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, for stuffing, cooking or for salsas.

Care: The germination temperature is between 22 und 28°C (8 - 21 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost. As the plants have a long ripening time, they should be cultivated in pots, so that the plants can be brought inside when the temperature falls below 12°C during the day, allowing all the fruits to ripen.
