Monkey Face Chili Seeds

Information: The monkey face chili is a rather small-growing plant that is easy to keep in a plant pot. It owes its name to its appearance, that is said to be evocative of a monkey`s face or a monkey in a seated position. The peppers are elongated, growing down to a pointed tip with a transverse fold.

The approximately 8cm long chillies ripen from green a brilliant yellow. They have an exceptionally exotic, fruity flavour with the subtle aroma and taste of ripe mangoes and a medium spicy heat. A very interesting variety for growing at home that not only looks good, but tastes exotic too.

Care: Germination temperature is between 20°C and 28°C (germination period: 7-20 days); it is therefore recommended to use a greenhouse and a heating mat. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be placed in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.

Lieblings-Chili 2024

großartige Chili. Sehen bei mir exakt wie auf dem Produktbild aus. Sehr große Früchte und ein wahnsinns-Geschmack. Super fruchtig, etwas schärfer als erwartet, aber sehr ausgewogen.

In Ringe geschnitten haben sie eine tolle Form und sind perfekt zum Garnieren von Tacos.
Bin gespannt, wie sich meine Pflanze nach dem Überwintern macht. Von 4 Samen ist leider nur einer aufgegangen, ich habe aber auch keine Heizmatte verwendet.

Super leckere Chilli die mitunter auch etwas schärfer als 5000 Scoville erscheint

Ich habe vor ein paar Jahren hier die Monkeyface gekauft. Seid dem besitze ich einen kleinen "Chillibaum". Er lässt sich gut überwintern und trägt mit etwas Beleuchtung auch im Winterquartier ein paar wenige Früchte. Ich bin vollauf zufrieden.

anspruchsvoll aber schön anzusehen

meine Monkey face sind kaum gekeimt und den beschriebenen Geschmack konnte ich in keinster Weise vernehmen. Einzig die Schärfe ist ein guter Mix des annuumspektrums zwischen Jalapeño und Pequin - wenngleich meine wohl eher bei Schärfegrad 7 liegen.
