Calypso tomato seeds
Info: The Calypso tomato originates from the USA and is popular due to its high yield and resistance against typical tomato diseases. The fruits are round, ripen to a full red, and weight up to 200 g. The tomatoes are extremely flavourful and sweet and are most suitable for fresh consumption or for colourful salads.
Care: You can grow the Calypso tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
