Organic Prairie Fire Chili Seeds
Information: The Prairie Fire Chili is a small and pretty ornamental chili that looks great on the balcony or windowsill, and is also edible. The plants grow to a maximum size of only 30 cm and carry a large number of small, elongated chillies, about 2 cm long, which ripen from green to yellow to red. This results in a beautiful play of colours, as the chillies are in different degrees of maturity on the plant. And the small pods are extraordinary hot: they reach up to 70,000 Scovilles.
Care: Germination temperature is between 22°C and 28°C (germination period: 8-21 days); it is therefore recommended to use a greenhouse and a heating mat. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
