Organic Purple Tiger Chili Seeds
This chili is a real eye-catcher! You just can`t fail to miss this plant with both its triple-coloured patterned leaves (green, purple and white), its bright purple flowers and fruits that ripen from purple to brilliant red. Their ornamental growth form and unusual appearance makes them perfect for use as a decorative indoor plant.
The small fruits don`t just look pretty, but also taste like a mildly spicy pepper. They are well suited for drying and preserving.
Care: Germination temperature is between 22°C and 28°C (germination period: 8-20 days); it is therefore recommended to use a greenhouse and a heating mat. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised permeable soil and should not be left in standing water. They should be placed in a sunny, sheltered place with at least 6 hours of sunlight per day, if not more. In the summer you can place the plants outside around two to three weeks after the last frost.
You can find plenty of useful tips for successfully growing chili plants in our Chili Growing Guide and in the Chili Journal.
As of spring 2015, we also offer a wide range of pre-grown chili plants, including the Purple Tiger Chili: Buy chili plants.
