Very hot 6 – 8

There were plenty of sceptics when the spicy food boom began around thirty years ago.

Some of them claimed that hot food would impair the taste buds. This statement was often justified using the argument that very hot chili sauces could completely destroy the original flavour of certain dishes. However, spicy food lovers argued back that very hot chili sauces should be used with caution and don’t work with just any recipe. Finally, after several years, it has become apparent that very hot chili sauce do not have a negative effect on our sense of taste. In the mean time, it has long since become an established fact that these sauces work best with barbecue meat, Hungarian dishes, Mexican food, Middle Eastern specialities, Asian delicacies and a few other culinary treats. The former sceptics fell silent a large palette full of chili sauces and powders was developed in all kinds of different spice levels.

Spice level 6-8 should be enjoyed with caution

This product selection covers chili sauces, which are rated 6-8 on the spice scale. The different levels of spiciness are achieved by cultivating special breeds of chili pepper. There are different very mild and extremely hot varieties, whose powder can either be used in their pure form or is excellent as a mixed combination to achieve a certain spice level. Chili sauce rated between 6 and 8 on the spice scale are already part of the group of much spicier foods. If you are not yet very experienced with eating very spicy foods, then you should either start with a lower spice rating or only use 6-8 rated chili sauces in a very diluted form. Lots of people think that water is the best water to cool down spicy heat. This is a fallacy. If you can already feel a burning sensation in your mouth then fatty foods or drinks, such as full-fat milk, are much better at alleviating this. If you have decided to try a chili sauce rated 6-8 on the spice scale, but do not yet have any experience with so much heat, then it is advisable to be very careful with the sauce and use it very sparingly. After all – food and drink with a high fat content do not minimise the burning heat straight away. Don’t forget that! It is best to approach these foods slowly and always try chili sauces, which are ranked 6-8 on the spice scale, in a very minimal amount before you use them thoughtlessly to season a big meal.

Be considerate of your guests and prepare yourself beforehand

If you have invited several guests to join your eating hot food, hen take advantage of the fact that very hot chili sauces are also great for seasoning individually. If you season your main course with products from the spicy 6-8 range before serving then it might well be that some of your guests leave the food unfinished and plunder all of your dairy products in a panic. It might be better to make your main course slightly less spicy and provide a few chili sauces of different strengths for guests to season as they choose.
