Brandywine Red Tomato Seeds
Info: The Brandywine Red tomato is one of the most delicious and precious varieties of tomato, and has many fans throughout the whole world. They are juicy, flat-round, beefsteak tomatoes with a thin skin and have a fine, well-balanced flavour with little acidity. The plants grow up to approx. 120 - 150 cm, are high yielding, robust and tolerant of the cold, and produce fruits even at low temperatures.
Care: You can grow the Brandywine Red tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
