Ripe red jalapeño chillies have a strong chili flavour with a subtle hint of sweetness, that can be used in any type of cooking. They are a versatile ingedient of the Mexican and US American cuisine. They harmonise particularly well with tomatoes and melted cheese, so are suitable for gratin dishes. But the powder can also be used atop any dish where a little "extra" heat is needed or desired - whether on pasta, pizza, meat, poultry or vegetables, it tastes great anywhere and enriches the flavour of any dish.

Red  jalapeño powder is strongly rooted in traditional Mexican cuisine, however it is very difficult to find in Europe,  which is why we are especially excited to be able to offer these aromatic, medium-hot spice in our product  range. Spice level: 8,000 Scoville heat units!
