Licorice & Chili Rub
Lakritskocken Grill Rub Lakritzsalz & Chili is a finely tuned Rub mixture which is ideal for grilling or frying fish, seafood, beef, pork or chicken. Due to the unique spice mixture, the Rub is particularly fine in taste and can therefore be used in many ways.
Flavour: Due to the liquorice, it is somewhat sweet with the taste of garlic, long pepper and smoked paprika as well as the heat of chillies, which is accentuated by the caramel note of muscovado (dark whole cane sugar).
Directions for use: Add enough Grill Rub to the meat and massage the spice vigorously so that all areas of the Rub are wetted. Then let the meat marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30-60 minutes (preferably longer). After marinating, the meat can be grilled directly.
Grill Rubs are "dry marinades" (thus practical for storage) for seasoning meat, fish and vegetables. To marinate the Grill Rub is simply placed dry on the food and massaged in vigorously. For fish and vegetables it is sufficient to turn it several times gently in the spice. The Grill Rub is particularly suitable for marinating large pieces of meat such as roasts, briskets, pulled pork or spare ribs. The sugar contained in the Grill Rub not only gives the meat a delicious, beautiful brown crust but also a distinctly intense taste.
