Oak BBQ Smoking Chips
For more taste when grilling!
Our smoking chips come from the barrels of the European finest wine and spirits producers. When emptying the barrels, the oak remains infused by the fragrance and flavor of the spirit. The barrels are carefully selected and verified, later reworked into this unique smoking product that combines outstanding quality and unique flavour for your BBQ.
Oak smoked chips are very aromatic, similar to the aroma of hickory, but stronger. Oak BBQ Smoking Chips produce a very strong and aromatic smoky flavor and are especially suitable for beef, lamb, pork and poultry.
The chips are ideal for charcoal, gas barbecues, smoker electric and all types of grill and come in a wide range of flavours: Red wine, whisky, sherry, brandy, portowine, fino wine, muscat wine, cognac.
Leave the chips to soak in water for 30-60 minutes.
Remove the chips from the water and place them in an aluminium tray or a smoker box. If the tray has no holes, drill holes in the base to allow the heat to flow more freely.
If you are using a charcal barbecue: once the coals are glowing, place the tray/box with the chips in it directly on the coals.
If you are using a gas BBQ: if your barbecue has a smoking compartment, place the tray inside, otherwise place it in a corner under the grill before lightning the barbecue.
When the chips begin to smoke, place the desired food on the barbecue. To optimize the cooking process, we recommend closing the lid of the barbecue.
