Organic Rainforest Chili Seeds 1000 Stk.

Information: The Rainforest Chili originates from Brazil and is part of the Capsicum baccatum family, which is why it is relatively large with a clearly ramified growth form and is very fruitful. Typical for its species, the plant has white flowers with a yellow pattern; this is where the teardrop-shaped fruits, approximately 3-5cm in size, start to grow, ripening from green to orange and then a brilliant red. It has a fruity, aromatic flavour with a hint of citrus. We believe that the Rainforest Chili is a little like the habanero pepper in terms of shape and taste, although they are not quite as hot - it is certainly a very interesting variety to grow at home.

Care: Germination temperature is between 22°C and 28°C (germination period: 8-20 days); it is therefore recommended to use a greenhouse and a heating mat. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised permeable soil and should not be left in standing water. They should be placed in a sunny, sheltered place with at least 6 hours of sunlight per day, if not more. Place the plants outside around 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost. When you plant the seedlings outdoors, take care to leave at least 50cm of space between each plant.
