Chinese Celery Kintsai Seeds
Info: Kintsai is a fast-growing and attractive leafy plant from China suited to cooler climates. It is very aromatic, even seedlings have a nice celery flavour. And as the plant matures the celery flavour and scent intensifies. The leaves and stems are used in China and Vietnam as a flavouring in virtually any dish, e.g. soups, vegetables, raw in salads, but are particularly good stir-fried.
Sowing & cultivation: Sow from March on indoors or in spring/summer outdoors after last frost. Seeds need light to germinate so cover with a thin layer of soil. Planting distance approx. 40 x 40 cm. The plants like a fertile, well-drained soil, keep soil moist. Harvest leaves and young stems when plant is at any stage.
