Onion Bedfordshire Champion Seeds
Info: The Bedfordshire Champion is an old, popular species from England. The variety matures to strong, firm, spherical onions with a fine-mild taste. It has excellent storage properties. It is excellent for raw food or as a vegetable garnish with meat or fish.
Sowing & cultivation: Sowing can take place from January to April. The seeds are covered with soil in a plant depth of 1 cm, well pressed and kept moist. After germination the seedlings can be separated. The planting distance should be 30cm and the row distance should be 10cm. Sow on a loose, strong soil which is not pre-fertilized. The harvest can take place from September, as soon as the foliage has fully departed.
