Jalapeno Fundador Chili Seeds

Information: The Jalapeño Fundador is a thick-walled chilli with slight corking that matures early from green to red, even in cooler climates. It has a fruity, spicy heat and a fruity flavour, which makes it ideal for stews and salsa. The fruits of the chilli grow to around 6 - 7 cm in size and are slightly furrowed with a conical shape. In good conditions, the Fundador can be harvested as early as August, but it definitely needs a sunny location for this.

In addition to stews, this chilli is very popular for salsa, sauces or for drying and processing as a powder. In Mexico, it is also a variety that is often used for the local Carne chilli, and the Jalapeño Fundador is a thick-walled chilli with a slight corking that matures early from green to red, even in cooler climates. Care: The germination temperature is between 20 and 25 °C (12 - 21 days germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, well-drained soil and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be placed in a full sun, sheltered spot with at least 6 hours of sunlight, preferably more. Place the plants outside at the earliest approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost. If you cultivate the plant in a pot, you can overwinter it. To do this, you may need to cut it back a little and place it in a bright spot with a temperature of at least 15°C.
