Organic Lombardo Chili Seeds
Information: The Lombardo chili is a very mild, aromatic chili pepper whose fruits are very similar in appearance to cayenne chili peppers. They have a bushy form, have a high fruit yield and thrive planted outdoors.
The fruits grow to reach a length of 9-13cm and ripen from green through to red. As they grow, they develop a sweet, fruity flavour, making them perfect to eat fresh and uncooked. Lombardo peppers can be used raw in salads or pickled and served as antipasti. They not only stand out in terms of taste, but they also good for your health thanks to their high Vitamin C content.
Care: Germination temperature is between 22°C and 28°C (germination period: 6-20 days); it is therefore recommended to use a greenhouse and a heating mat. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised permeable soil and should not be left in standing water. They should be placed in a sunny, sheltered place with at least 6 hours of sunlight per day, if not more. Place the plants outside around 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost. When you plant the seedlings outdoors, take care to leave at least 30-40cm of space between each plant.
