Orzo pasta are small durum wheat noodles in rice or cereal grain form. Orzo means "barley" and this noodle looks the same.
They are common in soups or for casseroles with tomato sauce and mozzarella. A refined preparation is also as a pasta dish, which is processed as a risotto and then, e.g. served to stewed meat like oxen tail.
Cooking time 6 - 8 minutes.
This pasta is cooked in just a few minutes, so it should be particularly cooked on bite.
