Habanero Maya Brown Chili Seeds
Information: TThe Habanero Maya Brown chilli develops particularly large (approx. 8-10 cm long), elongated, brown chillies with a small tip. The variety ripens a little earlier than other habaneros, can tolerate slightly cooler temperatures and is vigorous in growth. According to the breeder, great importance was attached to consistent pungency during breeding. This is around 200,000 - 300,000 Scoville. In the kitchen, they are mainly used for sauces and marinades, but the thin fruit walls also make them ideal for drying and making chilli powder.
Care: Germination temperature is between 22°C and 28°C (germination period: 8 - 20 days); it is therefore recommended to use a greenhouse and a heating mat. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised permeable soil and should not be left in standing water. They should be placed in a sunny, sheltered place with at least 6 hours of sunlight per day, if not more. The earliest time to place the plants outside is 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost. If grown in plant pots, you can also take care of them through the winter. It might be necessary to cut them back slightly and place them in a light place where it is at least 15°C.
