Urfa Biber Chili Seeds

Information: The Ukrainian Bitter is a small-growing but very high-yielding chilli variety with tasty, slightly hot pods that are ideal for seasoning fresh dishes. The pods ripen from green to red and are strongly corrugated and intensely red with a size of 10 - 15 cm.

They have an intense flavour, slightly peppery, somewhat bitter and yet with a slight sweetness and pleasantly spicy heat. These chillies delight with a strong pericarp that cracks when eaten fresh, but are also excellent for drying into powder. Anyone who loves a peppery sauce should definitely create their own sauce from these Chillies.

Care: The germination temperature is between 22 and 28 °C (12 - 21 days germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, well-drained soil and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be placed in a full sun, sheltered spot with at least 6 hours of sunlight, preferably more. Place the plants outside at the earliest approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost. If you cultivate the plant in a pot, you can overwinter it. To do this, you may need to cut it back a little and place it in a bright spot with a temperature of at least 15°C.
