There are also many soups, rice, fish and vegetables. Seafood, fish, squid and seaweed are an important ingredient in many dishes, as are tofu and soy sauce. With increasing prosperity, Koreans also eat a lot of meat. Beef and pork are particularly popular, cut and then either grilled or fried. Probably the most famous dish in Korea is kimchi, pickled cabbage, which is served with almost every dish. In general, many dishes consist of a whole range of different side dishes that are served with the main course.
