Zhengzhou Chili Seeds

Information: The Zhengzhou is a robust chilli plant from the region around the city of Zhengzhou in central China. It can withstand lower temperatures without any problems and produces red pods up to 15 cm in size with a delicious flavour.

Care: The germination temperature is between 22 and 28 °C (12 - 21 days germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, well-drained soil and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be placed in a full sun, sheltered spot with at least 6 hours of sunlight, preferably more. Place the plants outside at the earliest approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost. If you cultivate the plant in a pot, you can overwinter it. To do this, you may need to cut it back a little and place it in a bright spot with a temperature of at least 15°C.
