Rainforest Chili Seeds

Information: The Rainforest Chili originates from Brazil and is part of the Capsicum baccatum family, which is why it is relatively large with a clearly ramified growth form and is very fruitful. Typical for its species, the plant has white flowers with a yellow pattern; this is where the teardrop-shaped fruits, approximately 3-5cm in size, start to grow, ripening from green to orange and then a brilliant red. It has a fruity, aromatic flavour with a hint of citrus. We believe that the Rainforest Chili is a little like the habanero pepper in terms of shape and taste, although they are not quite as hot - it is certainly a very interesting variety to grow at home.

Care: Germination temperature is between 22°C and 28°C (germination period: 8-20 days); it is therefore recommended to use a greenhouse and a heating mat. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised permeable soil and should not be left in standing water. They should be placed in a sunny, sheltered place with at least 6 hours of sunlight per day, if not more. Place the plants outside around 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost. When you plant the seedlings outdoors, take care to leave at least 50cm of space between each plant.

Im Topf angebaut allein optisch ein Highlight. Auch vom Geschmack sehr gut.

bei mir sind auch alle samen aufgegangen.
leider hab ich die chilis erst im juni gesät, weshalb die letzen jetzt erst fertig wurden. trotztdem super geschmack und gute schärfe, ich kann die sorte sehr empfehlen.

Sehr guter Keimerfolg. Die Pflanzen sind recht schnell zu ordentlicher Größe gewachsen und haben reichlich Früchte angesetzt. Die Reifung dauert eher lang. Die Früchte reifen leuchtend rot ab und sind nach der Ernte bisweilen nur schwer von den parallel mitgezogenen Bishop\'s Crown zu unterscheiden. Aroma angenehm, Schärfe eher mild, gefühlt maximal 3-5. Werde ich wahrscheinlich trotzdem nicht wieder anbauen, da es zu viele andere interessantere Sorten gibt.

Die Einzige Variante, die bei mir beim Angehen etwas schächelte. Nur 5 von 10 gehen so langsam in die Höhe. Mal sehn was die Ernte macht.
