Habanero Fogon Chili Seeds

Information: The original habaneros are among the hottest chillies in the world. The Fogon variety can hold its own here, because with a pungency rating of 8 out of 10, it is already one of those on the pungency podium. Like most habaneros, it also has the typical smoky, fruity and spicy flavour, but this is particularly pronounced in this variety, making it extremely tasty.

Chelsea grows to a height of around 80 - 100 cm and is rather bushy. The plants produce numerous small, roundish pepper-like chillies that ripen from green to yellow. The chillies are ideal for processing into powder or delicious chilli sauces. Even beginners have an easy time with this variety, as it germinates quite quickly and easily and requires little further care.

Care: Germination temperature is between 22°C and 28°C (germination period: 7 - 21 days); it is therefore recommended to use a greenhouse and a heating mat. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised permeable soil and should not be left in standing water. They should be placed in a sunny, sheltered place with at least 6 hours of sunlight per day, if not more. The earliest time to place the plants outside is 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost. If grown in plant pots, you can also take care of them through the winter. It might be necessary to cut them back slightly and place them in a light place where it is at least 15°C.
