Ground Stollen Seasoning
Now you too can make the perfect Stollen! This aromatic and fruity spice mix really brings out the flavour of traditional Stollen ingredients to create a delicious Christmas Stollen.
The traditional, mix of ground Stollen spices is made up of carefully-selected ingredients and is just the right thing for a wonderful Christmas bakery. The aromas of cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and aniseed will put everyone in the Christmas mood right away. In addition to Stollen, lebkuchen, Spekulatius almond biscuits and many other traditional treats, the mix can also be added to cakes, muffins or waffles.
Almond Stollen Recipe (ingredients for 2 Stollen): 1kg flour, 10-15g Stollen Spice Mix, pulp of 1 vanilla pod, 80g yeast, 250ml warm milk, 350g butter, 1/2 tsp salt, 150g sugar, 250g peeled and chopped almonds, 250g chopped citrus peel. Use a standard Stollen recipe to make the leavened dough. After it has risen for the second time, work the almonds and citrus peel into the dough. Leave dough to prove for another 30 minutes, shape, place on baking tray, cover and leave to prove again for 20 minutes, bake.
