Caloro Chili Seeds
Info: The Caloro Chillies from Mexico are bushy, grow up to approx. 80 cm in height, and are very high yielding. Their approx. 5 x 12 cm large, mild fruits ripen from green to cream coloured/orange to red.
The Caloro Chili is a very versatile variety which can be used in a whole range of dishes. It has a mild flavour which is almost fruity-sweet when fully ripe. Due to their thick, juicy fruit walls, they are suitable for fresh consumption, as an addition to salads, and for stuffing and pickling.
Care: The germination temperature is between 20 und 28°C (7 - 20 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost. If you plant them outdoors, the plants should have a distance between them of approx. 30 cm.
