Among other things, chives are sometimes referred to as rush leeks. Chives have a subtle flavour of onions and are used to season salads, sauces, soups, tomato-based dishes, soft cheeses or eggs dishes. The French herb mix "fines herbes" contains chives and they are also a key ingredient in the famous dish from Frankfurt, "Grüne Soße" (Green Sauce). We recommend briefly soaking these chives in cold water before use. Chives can also be used to decorate any dish.
