Chili Guajillo orange
Guajillo chilies are dried Mirasol chili peppers from Mexico and are suitable for spicing up stews and meat dishes. They are mild to slightly spicy (1.500 - 2.000 SHU) and have a flavourful, sometimes almost berry-like flavour.
They are suitable for use in making pastes and sauces as well as for seasoning stews and meat dishes, or they can be used for dyeing purposes.
In Mexican cuisine they are traditionally used for dishes like Pozole (corn-meat-stew), Pancita (tripe in tomato sauce) or Mixiotes (mutton stew).
Shelf Life / StorageSpices lose some of their flavour through incorrect storage. Spices should be stored in a cool, dry, dark and airtight place.
