Chinese Five-Spice

Chinese five-spice (wu chian fen) is a classic and very aromatic spice mix for preparing Far Eastern cuisine. As the name already suggests, traditionally this mixture comprises five spices - star anise, sichuan pepper, cloves, fennel and cinnamon.

The spice mix is perfect for Chinese meat dishes and sauces - you just can`t have Chinese-style pork or duck without five-spice! You can also use five-spice for sweet-and-sour marinades, e.g. for roast chicken or duck.

Shelf Life / Storage

Gewürze verlieren durch die falsche Lagerung einen Teil ihres Aromas. Gewürze sollten kühl, trocken, luftdicht und dunkel gelagert werden.

How to use

Rezept für chinesische Schweinerippen

Zutaten: 2 kg fleischige Schweinerippen, 1 Zwiebel, 1 EL Sojasoße, 5 EL Öl, 1 TL Edora Knoblauchpfeffer, 2 TL Fünf-Gewürz, 1 TL Edora Sambal, 2 TL Zucker, Salz

Zubereitung: Die Schweinerippen in einzelne Rippen zerteilen. Mit 2 EL Öl, der Hälfte der kleingehackten Zwiebel und den Zutaten eine Marinade herstellen. Die Rippen damit einreiben und einige Stunden ziehen lassen.

TOP QUALITÄT

Wirklisch gute und harmonisch abgestimmte 5-Gewürz-Mischung mit leicht dominanter Anis-/Fenchel-Note. Top Frische und Qualität in der aromadichten Aludose. Meine Charge mit Haltbarkeitsdatum 7/2017 ! Außerdem mit praktischem Streuereinsatz zum einfachen Dosieren und Nachwürzen. Schon mit geringer Gewürzmenge erhält man den typischen Asia-Geschmack bei Suppen, Saucen und Marinaden. Da das Aroma sehr intensiv ist sehr sparsam im Verbrauch. Die Dose reicht mir bestimmt für 1-2 Jahre bei 1x asiatisch Kochen pro Woche.
