Blue Sapphire - Persian Blue Salt
The blue salt from Persia is a rock salt and originates from the Semnan province in northern Iran. It gets its blue colour from tectonic processes that form the contained potassium chloride into a special structure so that it shines blue when exposed to light.
The blue rock salt can be used decoratively, or to season like Fleur de Sel.
It is particularly suitable for fish, seafood, terrines and salads.
