Ethiopian Butter Spice
The Ethiopian butter spice is a classic of Ethiopian cuisine. Traditionally, Ethiopian people season clarified butter with a typical combination of spices.
It combines hot cayenne pepper with oriental spices such as cardamom, cinnamon and cloves, and it is also suitable for seasoning poultry dishes and fried sweet potatoes. It also gives a good taste to baked feta cheese, on flatbread or you use it as a rub for barbecue meat.
If you mix the seasoning with yoghurt or sour cream, you get a yummy dip.
