Charapita Chili

The Charapita chilli or Aji Charapita comes from the border region between Peru and Brazil and is considered the most expensive chilli in the world. Because of its rarity, it is sometimes called caviar chilli. It is small, yellow and rather unimpressive, but it has a fiery heat of 50,000 - 100,000 Scoville and an incomparable fine flavour: fruity, flowery and exotic. It goes perfectly with white meat, fish and exotic dishes.
