Lemon Drop

The Lemon Drop Chili originates from South America and is one of the most popular chillies due to its intense citrus flavor. It belongs to the species Capsicum baccatum with its typical upright, large and clearly ramified fertile plants (they can reach a height of up to 2 metres).

Lemon Drop chili is also known as ají limo or hot lemon. The elongated chili peppers are thin-walled and ripen from green to a bright yellow colour. Its intense lemon aroma is ideal for fish dishes, but also for chicken, white meat, sauces and salsas. In South America this chili is traditionally used to season grilled guinea pig (cuy).
